Opening Ethiopian Blend

De namiddag gaat van start met een lezing 'Overleven in Noord Ethiopië op grond van Bodem, Water en Bossen' van professor Seppe Deckers (KUL) over waterhuishouding en herbebossing in Ethiopië. Vervolgens is er de kortfilm ‘Meteni’, een etnografische film over de Afars. Om 17u wordt de tentoonstelling ‘Ethiopia: past/forward’ van Aïda Muluneh, een jonge Ethiopische fotografe, geopend. Ook het bijhorende fotoboek, uitgegeven door Africalia en Roularta Books, zal worden voorgesteld. Om 18u30 start het Ethiopian Blend Café met een Ethiopische maaltijd en korte interventies van sprekers, over projecten in Ethiopië. Om 20u30 sluit de avond af met de langspeelfilm ‘Teza’, een epos over de turbulente geschiedenis van Ethiopië.
